The Global MTCCs Network (GMN) organised this year’s Global Webinar Series in June 2021 with the MTCC Africa session being hosted on 24^th June 2021. These webinars provided a great opportunity for stakeholders to hear directly from the Maritime Technology Cooperation Centres on the potential barriers and opportunities to a Low Carbon Shipping Industry in their regions as well as providing a platform for sharing and disseminating knowledge on the latest Maritime Energy Efficiency Technologies.

The MTCC Africa webinar sensitized participants on the outcome of the MTCC Africa compiled National Technology Needs Barriers & Assessment Report. MTCC Africa is keen on implementing recommendations that arose during this webinar through its pilot study on quantification of emissions within the Port of Mombasa limits.
